This year, I was determined to have a fun, memorable quarantine birthday on 4/29/2020.
Here's what I did...
1. scheduled a birthday photo-shoot,
bought a vibrant colored dress, did my hair/makeup, bought balloons, picked a location and posed for the camera! And of course the photographer and I practiced social distancing. Labre Photography
2. I planned activities
I always like to spend time with my son on my birthday. So we picked up carry out from my favorite restaurant, headed to Long Hunter State Park, sat on a park bench and had lunch by the lake. It was perfect!
Afterwards, we headed to downtown Nashville for ice cream at Mike's Ice Cream and walked around. There was absolutely NO one downtown so we really got to enjoy downtown for a change lol.
For birthday transportation I rented a car...a convertible SS Camaro...check it out.
3. I had a virtual birthday party
Originally, I planned to have a Birthday Twerk Class Party in person, so I kept the idea and did it virtually! And it was soooooo fun. I put out a flyer, sent the flyer to my friends and each paid $7 to participate ( I used that money to pay the dance instructor). A total of 25 ladies participated! 4. I posted my birthday on social media.
I created a post using my birthday photo-shoot pictures and added my $cashapp to the caption. This was a great idea, I received unexpected $cashapp blessings throughout the day. In case, you want to send a belated birthday cashapp, my username is $iamcameo. ;)
5. I bought a birthday cake
Yes, I bought myself a cake from my favorite bakery, Sweet and Sassy. And had my son and brother sing me, Happy Birthday! I highly recommend you try this!
I hope this inspires you to celebrate your birthday in a major way with safer at home guidelines in mind. Remember anything is possible, you just may have to put a little thought to it!
